Why you shouldn't use a CMS based template system

There are many advantages in using a CMS based web design system for your driving school website, however there are many pitfalls that you should be aware of.

The advantages are that you can easily edit and change the text for yourself.

The main pitfalls are:

1. Bloated code
Cheap CMS systems may use complicated code that is not search engine friendly

2. Incorrect or ineffective use of keywords
If your system auto-generates the keywords, they may not be the best keywords for your site. More likely you will be left to include keywords for yourself. However their are some basic rules about how your title tag and description tag should be written and how many characters to use. It is unlikely that the average user of a CMS system would have the knowledge and experience to do this. The result will be ineffective use of these features.

A random survey of cms based driving school websites reveals a very poor use of keywords and meta tags. The bottom line is that these sites are not performing as well in Google and other search engines as they could.

A professional website designer will know how to make best use of keywords and meta tags. With our knowledge of web design and experience in building driving school websites we can ensure that your site is best optimized to do well in search engines. There are no gaurantees that you can get on the first page of Google, but is is likely that the pitfalls outlined above will make it much more difficult to achieve success with a CMS system.

What are the alternatives?

IIf you really want to be able to edit the content of your website yourself, a good option is to use a Wordpress based site. With this option you can have your pages set up properly for you with proper use of keywords in the meta tags etc, and can then edit the pages later yourself.
