Also make sure you use your domain name in all your other literature and adverts.

You won't get a sudden flood of new customers when you get a web site. Maybe only a handful to start with and maybe some of them will have also seen your ad in the phone book or been recommended by a friend. The payoff will be when your site gets more established and as more and more people look to the internet for what they're looking for.

Beware anyone who promises to get you on page one of Google. No one can make that promise! It's like promising it won't rain tomorrow! With good optimization and plenty of inbound links you have every chance of getting your own website to rank highly.
